Who we work with
We work for the person who owns the dirt and for the people who build on it. Pick the one that sounds like you.
I own land

Lot clearing, house pads, foundation excavation, rough and finish grade, driveway prep and haul-off — or mass grading, roads and utilities on a full subdivision. One sub from raw ground to finish grade, build after build.
Get On Our Bid ListI'm a trade contractor
We do the step before yours. Excavation and base prep for slabs and driveways, footings and basements, pool digs and haul-off, grading and drainage for retaining walls. You keep the client — we just move the dirt.

From raw ground to a pad that's ready to build on. One crew, one schedule, one number to call.
Brush, trees, stumps and debris removed so the lot is workable. Haul-off, forestry mulching or on-site disposal where the city allows it.
$1,200–$2,400 / acreFootings, basements, cuts and over-excavation dug to plan and to grade, with certified operators on heavy iron.
Quoted per scopeRough and finish grading so water runs away from the structure and the surface holds. Cut and fill balanced on site when we can.
$80–$106 / hr, machine + operatorThe whole package before the slab: clear, strip, cut, fill, compact and stake. Pad ready for the concrete crew.
$5,000–$10,000 typical homeWater, sewer, septic, electrical and drainage lines trenched to code depth, bedded and backfilled properly.
Quoted per linear footStructures, slabs, barns and outbuildings taken down, hauled off and disposed of legally. Site left clean.
Quoted per structureGravel, road base and compaction for driveways, access roads and building pads. Compaction tested where the job calls for it.
Quoted per square footSheds, decks, fences, carports, old slabs and small outbuildings taken down and hauled off. The jobs the big demo outfits won't bother quoting.
Quoted on the site visitMost people aren't — "grading" and "excavation" get mixed up all the time. Tell us what you're trying to build and we'll tell you what the job actually is.

Real numbers, before you call
Every other contractor makes you call to find out. Here are the honest ranges for Utah so you can budget today.
Light brush on flat, accessible ground sits at the low end. Heavy timber, steep slope or a lot you can barely get a machine into runs higher.
Machine and operator together. A typical residential lot is a half day to two days depending on how much dirt has to move.
Clearing, cut and fill, compaction and pad. Steep or rocky lots and long utility runs push this up.
Five acres of flat, light brush is a different job from five acres of trees on a hillside. The spread is real — that's why we walk it first.
Footings, basement digs, drainage corrections and over-excavation. Priced by cubic yard and access, not guessed.
Depth to code, soil type and rock decide the number. Rock hammering is quoted separately and never sprung on you mid-job.
Flat ground is fast. Once the machine has to work across a grade, production drops and the hours go up.
Sagebrush and scrub clear quickly. Mature trees mean stumps, root balls and hauling volume.
Can a lowboy reach the lot? Can the material stay on site or does every yard get trucked out? This swings the price more than acreage does.
Your number doesn't move. We walk the site, price slope, density, access and disposal, and hand you one fixed written figure. That figure is what you pay — no change orders unless you change the scope, in writing, first.

Why Wolves
Fixed written quote before we start. What we quote is what you pay, and haul-off and cleanup are inside that number.
$2M general liability and workers' comp. Certificate of insurance in your inbox within the hour — ask and see.
Marked on every single job. We also pull the grading and land disturbance permit so the city never shuts you down.
No subcontracted crews. The operator who quotes your job is the operator who runs it, and you get his name.
Compaction and drainage backed for twelve months. If it settles or it pools, we come back.

Our promise
We won’t pretend to have a hundred reviews we haven’t earned yet. Here’s what we put in writing instead — before you pay us anything.
The price doesn’t move. You get one fixed number in writing before we start, with the scope spelled out. Haul-off and cleanup are inside it. If we find something that changes the job, we stop and call you — you never discover a change order on the invoice.
One year, in writing. Compaction and drainage carry a written twelve-month warranty. If water goes somewhere it shouldn’t, or the ground settles where we compacted it, we come back and fix it at our cost.
Insured, and we prove it. $2M general liability and workers’ comp. Ask for the certificate of insurance and it’s in your inbox within the hour. Blue Stakes 811 is marked on every job before a machine touches the ground.
We’d rather earn the first review than borrow one. Be our first customer.

Permits & safety
This is the part that gets people fined. It's also the part nobody else puts on their homepage.
Most Utah cities prohibit starting any grading, excavation, filling or clearing before the building department issues a permit. Disturbing more than one acre normally triggers it, and some cities — West Jordan among them — have a dedicated clearing and grubbing land disturbance permit.
We handle the application, the city and the inspections as part of the job. You don't chase paperwork and you don't get a stop-work order taped to your fence.
Utah's call-before-you-dig system gets called on every single job, without exception. Hitting a gas or fiber line is the most expensive mistake in this trade and it is entirely avoidable.
Ask for the certificate of insurance — you'll have it within the hour. Any contractor who hesitates on that is telling you something.
